NW 53rd and West Gore Boulevard

This afternoon (5/9), you will see traffic advisory signs beginning to go up at the intersection of NW 53rd and West Gore Boulevard, in coordination with the 52ND Street Construction Project. As previously disseminated, outside lane closures and reduced speeds in this area are to take place/continue with project progression.

Specifically, beginning tomorrow (5/10) at approximately 7:30 a.m., the outside westbound lane of Gore will be closed in the area to allow equipment to safely move. This lane closure will last approximately one week; another phase of construction – involving a Gore intersection crossing – will begin directly afterward and affect traffic flow, as well. TRAFFIC PATTERNS WILL BE FLUID ACCORDING TO NEEDED CLOSURES DAILY; PLEASE ADHERE TO ALL SIGNAGE AND AVOID THIS AREA IF POSSIBLE. Please be advised workers may be on-site during weekend days also.

Thank you for your patience and support of this project, which is being carried out by T&G Construction of Lawton. The voter-approved 480-day, $6.1 million project began in September 2017 and is set for completion in January 2019.
