The City of Lawton implemented a hiring freeze in March 2018. Positions currently listed on the Careers Page have been approved to be filled by the City Manager, however. Qualified individuals are encouraged to apply.
Aside from those listed positions, no new personnel can be hired. Should there be a position vacancy that is determined to be essential by the City Manager, the position will immediately be added to the Career Page.

You can view open vacancies on our website. You can fill out the application online and submit it via email to HR@lawtonok.gov or you may print off your application and turn it into the Human Resources Office located on the second floor of City Hall. You must have Adobe Reader installed on your computer in order to view and fill out the application online.
You can pick up an application in person at the Human Resources Office located on the second floor of City Hall.

Please note that you must return the completed application to the Human Resources Department no later than 5 p.m. on the closing date to receive full consideration. Applications submitted after the closing date will be accepted but may not receive full consideration.
Open positions remain on our website until they are filled. If the job listing states that the position is open until filled the position may close without notice. Hiring managers review applications periodically to determine the best potential candidates to interview. You will be contacted by the phone number listed on your application if a hiring manager wishes to set up an interview with you.
For many jobs conditional offers are made pending a driver's license check, medical examination, alcohol/drug testing, and/or polygraph/background investigation. If you receive a conditional offer you will be told to contact Human Resources to set up the required testing and/or fill out the appropriate paperwork. Your job offer is contingent upon successful completion of the required testing and submission of required paperwork.
