Health Insurance

The City of Lawton provides health insurance coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma. There is a wide selection of providers in the area and in the nationwide network. In order to suit the benefits needs of our employees we offer various health plans through BCBS of Oklahoma. This allows employees to pick the plan that fits their needs and their budget. All plans includes a comprehensive prescription drug benefit plan.

Premium amounts vary based on plan selection and number of dependents covered. The City of Lawton pays a portion of the employee’s health insurance premium.

A Health Savings Account (HSA) through HSA Bank is available to supplement the HSA-qualified medical plan. An HSA allows employees to save pre-tax funds on qualified medical expenses, such deductibles.

Medical Flexible Spending Accounts are also offered through Higginbotham to help with routine medical costs, such as prescription drugs, co-pays, and co-insurance.
