Fire Chief, Fire Department - 3388

Career Purpose

Performs a variety of technical, administrative, and supervisory work in planning, organizing, directing and implementing fire prevention, suppression and other emergency services to prevent or minimize the loss of life and property by fire and other emergency incidents.

Salary: Competitive salary and benefits plan offered. Initial salary, $110,000 - $125,000, will be based on qualifications and experience.

    • Selected candidate must qualify for the Fire Pension as follows:
      • Medical Evaluation as defined in Oklahoma State Statutes for Fire Pension
      • Physical Performance/Agility Test as directed by Fire Pension
      • Cannot be over 47 years of age on date of hire (unless already a part of the System)
    • The Defined Benefit retirement plan is currently a monthly benefit based on a final average salary, with a minimum 22 years in the System (for new plan members).
