The Information Technology Services department (ITSD) is committed to providing strategic vision, leadership, and solutions for all things technology by ensuring that technology is an asset for all of the stakeholders of the City of Lawton and its Regional partners.
IT Support Services Team
The IT Service Desk Section provides help desk services for the City’s internal customers. This team also supports IT-related products and services, customer training, asset management, and installation and repair of desktop and notebook computers, printers, multi-function copiers, and audio-visual services.
The Operations Team is responsible for the acquisition of technology peripherals and software for the entire City; as well as for network security, network design and day to day management of the city’s network infrastructure. Operations provides technology solutions to improve city processes and project assistance. This team also covers implementation and maintenance of a city-wide physical and logical information security program that will help ensure the protection of the City’s information assets, systems, and networks.
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Team
The Geographic Information Systems Section is responsible for providing City staff, the public, and clients with quality enterprise Geographic Information Systems (GIS) services, solutions and customer service.
Application Development Division
The Programming Section is responsible for the development of custom applications to streamline City processes. The team has applications in production in every department of the City including the Online Services Portal.
