Mission Statement

The Lawton Municipal Court handles criminal and traffic misdemeanor offenses that are in violation of city ordinances. We act as custodian of departmental documents, records and legal publications as well as establish and maintain filing systems. We are responsible for reviewing and/or entering uniform complaints and identification information, as listed by police computer records, for accuracy and completion. Another function of the Municipal Court is the scheduling and preparing of court dockets, trials and various hearings, both criminal and administrative in nature. Nathan Johnson serves as Municipal Court Judge and Jillian Allison as Municipal Court Director.

If you are scheduled for a court appearance, please appear on that date and time only. Please DO NOT bring any unnecessary persons to your court appearance. Also, masks are required to enter the building.


Certain citations issued by the Lawton Police Department can be paid online or by phone. Payments by phone with no additional convenience fee, during regular operating hours, can be made by calling the clerk’s office and selecting option 1. Payments online or by phone (after hours), including weekends and holidays, can be made through nCourt Government Payments, a third party payment system. nCourt charges a convenience fee to those electing to use this service as a payment option. The City of Lawton does not receive any revenue from this convenience fee.
