Bart Hadley became Assistant City Manager in 2015, continuing a career of heartfelt service to the Lawton community that has spanned four decades.
A lifelong Lawtonian, Hadley graduated from Lawton High School in 1978. He holds an associate degree in applied science from Oklahoma State University and a baccalaureate degree in business administration from Cameron University. He is the lucky husband of Andrea Hadley, and proud father of Elizabeth, Hillary, Karley and Alex.
Hadley’s City of Lawton tenure includes 32 years of service to the Lawton Fire Department, having served as Fire Chief for the last 11; and a combined five years of experience in the positions of Emergency Management Director, Finance Director and Municipal Court Director. He has been integral in establishing reliable emergency operation plans and procedures for the City of Lawton, modernizing public safety efforts, advancing community relations through collaboration and innovatively leading city government through financial hardships.
Hadley is a two-time recipient of the Firefighter of the Year award, five-time recipient of the Lawton Community Service Award, two-time recipient of the Meritorious Service Award, as well several others. He has a long history of giving back to the Lawton-Fort Sill community by being active in numerous civic and professional organizations and he continues to do so today.
