Larry S. Wolcott has served as the Public Works Director for the City of Lawton since 2015. He is originally from Elgin, OK and began work with the City in 1997 as an Engineer-in-Training after obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1996. As Director, he oversees operations of Stormwater Management, Street & Traffic Control, Electronic Maintenance, Equipment Maintenance, Solid Waste, and Drainage Maintenance divisions of the Public Works Department. He also serves as the City’s Floodplain Administrator overseeing the implementation of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
He has been a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) since 2001. He is also a certified floodplain manager (CFM) and active member of the Oklahoma Floodplain Managers Association, Solid Waste Association of North America and American Public Works Association.
He and his wife Lea Ann have three daughters, Amberlea, Bralea, and Hayden as well as a granddaughter Brilea, and grandson River.
