Ulysses Henderson

Captain Ulysses Henderson was raised in and graduated from High School in California. He has been on the department since August 2004. Since joining the department, Henderson has been assigned to Patrol, Community Oriented Policing, Special Operations, and the Motor Unit. Henderson holds a basic Instructor certification, an Advanced Peace Officer Certification from CLEET, and a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisville. He is also an accident reconstructionist and firearms instructor. Captain Henderson is a graduate of the 139th Administrative Officers Course at the Southern Police institute, and is also an adjunct instructor of Criminal Justice at Cameron University.

Prior to joining the police department, Captain Henderson spent 4 years on active duty as an intelligence analyst in the United States Army, and 5 years with the 158th Field Artillery, Oklahoma Army National Guard.
