General Information-Phone Scam Alert

Please be aware of phone scams that are occurring within the Lawton Fort Sill community. Scammers are pretending to be employed with the Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) and are claiming that services will be cut off if immediate payments are not made. Scammers may even give a call back number that will be linked to a fake PSO recording in order to scam individuals. Please do not fall for this lie. Victims are being told to give bank account information or to send pre-paid money cards.

If you receive a call you suspect to be a scam and they request your name, address or other personal information, do not give them anything.

What to do if you receive a scam call:

• Hang up
• Do not return unknown calls, texts or emails
• Do not give money or personal information
