The City of Lawton offers a wide variety of comprehensive programs to its benefit eligible employees. Our benefits program is designed to offer employees substantial coverage to meet both individual and family needs. Who is Eligible
All employees who work at least 30 hours per week, and their eligible dependents, are eligible for benefits.
New full-time employees are eligible for benefits after they have satisfied their waiting period.
- If you are hired between the 1st and the 20th of the month, coverage would be effective the 1st of the month following Date of Hire.
- If you are hired after the 20th then coverage will be effective 1st of the month following 30 days of employment.
When Coverage Ends
If your employment ends, your coverage will end on the last day of the month of your termination. Depending upon the circumstances of your termination, you may be able to continue coverage under COBRA. Other circumstances which may result in termination of your coverage.
Your eligible dependents include:
- Your spouse (unless you are legally separated);
- Domestic Partner
- Your dependent children who are under age 26.
