The City of Lawton offers a wide variety of comprehensive programs to its benefit eligible employees. Our benefits program is designed to offer employees substantial coverage to meet both individual and family needs. Employees are able to make their benefit selections from a variety of plans through Benefits in Hand, our online portal.  Contact HR for login details. Please note, Fire Union Employees benefits provider varies from that of Police and General Employees. 

Who is Eligible

All employees who work at least 30 hours per week, and their eligible dependents, are eligible for benefits. 

Coverage for Regular Full Time Employees, if properly elected, is effective on the first of the month immediately following 30 days of employment.

When Coverage Ends

If your employment ends, your coverage will end on the last day of the month of your termination. Depending upon the circumstances of your termination, you may be able to continue coverage under COBRA. Other circumstances which may result in termination of your coverage.

Eligible Dependents 

Your eligible dependents include:

  • Your spouse (unless you are legally separated)
  • Domestic Partner
  • Your dependent children who are under age 26
