2019 International Festival, 40th Anniversary, Set for Sep 27, 28 & 29
This year, Lawton’s International Festival will celebrate its 40th year of promoting greater awareness and appreciation of Lawton’s diverse heritage. The festival provides local, culturally-based organizations, groups and individuals an opportunity to display aspects of their culture, mainly through performances and demonstrations.
For vendor and/or volunteer performers information as well as the annual poster design competition, call the Arts & Humanities Division at 580-581-3470 or 581-3471 to check on applications and deadlines.
No Admission or Parking Fees with Free concerts & Entertainment!!!
- Friday, Sep 27: 5-10 pm, 5:45 pm Parade of Nations followed by Opening Ceremony with Naturalization Ceremony
- Saturday, Sep 28: 11 am-10 pm
- Sunday, Sep 29: 12-5 pm
- 2 Stages with Entertainment and Interactive Area
- Dining Area Near Food Vendors with Tables and Chairs
- Information Booth, First Aid, & ATM with Food, Sales & Display Vendors
No pets (only service animals), bicycles, skateboards, drones and alcoholic beverages.

Festival Volunteers Needed - Besides having fun, volunteering offers opportunities to meet new people, gain valuable experience for resumes or college applications, provides community visibility for organizations or businesses as well as great bonding experience for families and groups.

La Gozadera, Saturday, September 28, 8pm, 2nd Street Stage (South)
This Oklahoma musical group’s name translate to “Enjoyment”! It is composed of several Latin American and Caribbean musicians, bringing to the stage the flavor that identifies them. This high energy band has performed at Oklahoma City’s Day of Love and Friendship, Women’s Expo and Fair for Businesswomen, Tulsa’s Gathering Place, Guthrie on the Green’s Global Music Festival for the Tulsa Global Alliance and many special events. Michael King’s One-Man Circus, Sunday, September 29, 2pm, 2nd Street Stage (South)
This high-energy show features a variety of circus skills and creative props. When Michael King finished college, he was recruited to perform for a circus. He spent a year traveling with the circus throughout the United States and Canada. Upon returning from the circus, Michael decided to utilize the skills he learned from his experience to create a one-man circus show. Michael performs a potpourri of juggling, unicycling, balancing, and magic acts combined with family-oriented comedy into a high energy show for all ages.
