Citizen Group of the Month: America's Veterans Supporters

This month, we recognize America’s Veterans Supporters as the Citizen Group of the Month. Mayor Stan Booker issued the proclamation to the organization on August 22, 2023.

America’s Veterans Supporters consists of 53 veterans, widows, military dependents and military supporters. They continue to positively impact the lives of veterans, their families and the Lawton/Fort Sill community.

The organization has shown their respect and gratitude for our nation’s heroes through various initiatives, to include the Quilts of Valor project, the distribution of gift baskets at the VA Season during the holiday season, and their participation in the Wreaths Across America Campaign.

America’s Veterans Supporters is involved in various Veterans Day ceremonies, Memorial Day Services, and have attended every single unclaimed Veteran Funerals at the Fort Sill National Cemetery.
