Library to Host Second Saturday Bike in the Park

The Lawton Public Library will team up with Terry’s Bicycle and FitKids of Southwest Oklahoma to bring a fun physical activity to the community over the next several months. Second Saturday Bike in the Park will begin Saturday, May 14 from 9-11 a.m. The event will begin near the Armory on the north side of Elmer Thomas Park. This family-friendly ride is a perfect way for kids, families and all bicycling enthusiasts to spend some quality time outside.

Participants will also have the opportunity to learn more about the bicycle repair stations. Kids will be able to pick-up a scavenger hunt at the library’s table to complete and be entered into a drawing for a prize basket. To encourage bicycle safety, all participants are asked to wear their helmets.
