Thanksgiving 2022 City Closures

City of Lawton offices will be closed on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 24) and the following day (Friday, Nov. 25). This two-day closure includes the Lawton Public Library which will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Cart collection for Area 3 will take place Wednesday, Nov. 23. Cart collection for Area 4 will still occur Friday, Nov. 25. The Lawton Landfill will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24, and resume normal operations Friday and Saturday.

Essential services, such as those provided by the Lawton Police Department and Lawton Fire Department, will remain available as always.

Regular business hours and operations for all City of Lawton facilities will resume Monday, Nov. 28.
