CCIP to go live 11/12/19

The City of Lawton Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Division will present Phase 1 (Engineering Projects) of the Citizens Capital Improvement Portal (CCIP) to the Lawton City Council during the workshop meeting on November 12. The CCIP will give council and community members information about the progress and updates to the City’s capital improvement projects.

“This is another step forward in terms of transparency, trust and accountability for the City of Lawton,” said City Manager Michael Cleghorn.

Project updates are currently given biannually to a Citizens Advisory Committee. These updates will continue to occur; CIP Citizens Portal updates are slated to be updated monthly as information is received from project managers and engineers. Among other details, the portal will feature basic information on given projects, percentage of work completed and financial breakdowns.

The portal is slated to go live at at approximately 5 p.m. Nov. 12. Those interested in learning more, may contact the GIS Division at 580.581.4770.
