On Tuesday, Oct. 25, engineering firm, EST, presented Mayor Booker and the City of Lawton with a plaque to celebrate the completion of Phase 1 of the Lee Boulevard project.
The City of Lawton, EST, and T & G Construction worked together and completed the project on time and under budget.
Phase 1 of the Lee Boulevard project successfully rehabilitated the existing pavement and improved the rideability of the driving lanes.
“We are proud to work with the City of Lawton because the City of Lawton continually makes decisions to invest in themselves,” said Amanda Newberry, Project Manager/Engineer with EST. “Communication between the City Engineering Department, the City Manager’s Office, EST, and T & G Construction was open and frequent, which led to a successful project.”
EST has been in communication with the office of Governor Stitt, Senator Lankford, and Congressman Cole to explore options for funding the five future phases.
The next phases, including a two-mile section of Goodyear Boulevard from Lee Boulevard to Cache Road, already has the support of the office of Governor Stitt.
