This year, trick-or-treating in residential neighborhoods is set to be observed in the City of Lawton Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
The City of Lawton is also hosting several events for families to enjoy.
On Friday, October 27th from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m., staff will host the Annual City of Lawton Halloween Bash. The event will take place in the Banquet Room of Lawton City Hall located at 212 SW 9th Street.
The Lawton Public Library will also be hosting Halloween-themed events. On Thursday, October 26th, citizens are invited to the “Boo-a-Palooza” at 10 a.m. at the Library. The celebration will include story-hour and a walk through of the library where staff will hand out candy.
The Library is also hosting a “Booooo-k Walk” at Shepler Park on Monday, October 30th at 6 p.m. Families can walk through the park, reading stories & collecting candy from stations.
The Owens Multipurpose Center will also host a “Pumpkin Run” at Mattie Beal Park on Friday, October 27th from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. There will be free food, goodie bags and fun for the entire family. Fit Kids of Southwest Oklahoma & the United Way have partnered with the recreation center to create the event, but more community partners are welcome to help.
On October 31st from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m, the community is invited to the Owens Multipurpose Center parking lot for their annual Trunk-or-Treat event. We are still looking for community members to set up at the event! Contact Aaliyah Climes, Activities Coordinator at the Owens Center to learn more.
Costumes are encouraged at all of these events! We are looking forward to a fun & safe Halloween!
