Closure of City Facilities Due to Independence Day Monday, July 4th, 2022

LAWTON – City of Lawton offices and sites will be closed to observe Independence Day on Monday, July 4th, 2022. This closure includes the Lawton Public Library, which will be closed Saturday, July 2nd to Monday, July 4th, 2022.

Cart collection will occur as follows: Area 1 will be collected on Tuesday July 5th and Area 2 will be collected on Wednesday July 6th. All residential collection scheduled for Thursday July 7th and Friday July 8th will resume on normal collection days.

The Lawton Landfill will be closed July 4th, but open for regular scheduled hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning July 5th.

Essential services, such as those provided by the Lawton Police Department and Lawton Fire Department, will remain available as always.

Regular business hours and operations for all City of Lawton facilities will resume Tuesday, July 5th, 2022.
