During Tuesday’s Lawton City Council Meeting, Wynona Alberty of the Race Relations Committee accepted a proclamation recognizing Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15.

We celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.

This year’s theme “Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation” encourages us to ensure than all voices are represented and welcomed to help build stronger communities and a stronger nation.

We’d like to thank MacArthur High School's Multicultural/Spanish Club for displaying the beautiful flags of the Hispanic Culture!
