The Lawton Public Library is celebrating Library Card Sign-Up Month. During the month of September, the American Library Association and libraries unite in a national effort to ensure every child signs-up for their own library card. Stop by the library to get your “I love my library” car decal while supplies last!
2nd Saturday Bike in the Park
- Saturday, September 10
- 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
- Meet by the Armory on the northside of Elmer Thomas Park
- Terry's Bicycle will provide bikes & helmets for children who do not have their own
Children's Book Swap
- Saturday, September 17
- 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
- Bring in new or gently used books to swap!
Homeschool Resource Roundtable
- Saturday, September 17
- 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.
- Families will learn about activities & resources/engage with other families
The Pillowcase Project
- Saturday, September 24
- 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.
- Children ages 8-11 & caregivers will receive fun emergency preparedness information to keep them safe during a disaster

There’s tons of fun at the library for adults too! Join us for our first Crochet Along and learn how to crochet a potato. We will follow along as a Creativebug instructor talks through each step in an instructional video. Please bring your H8/5.0mm crochet hook & a tapestry needle, all other supplies will be provided. All skill levels welcome! This class is for ages 16+ & registration is appreciated.
