The City of Lawton’s Parks and Recreation Department is seeking assistance from citizens for its Earth Day crafts event later this month. The department is requesting donations of recyclable items that will be used for Earth Day children’s crafts.

Examples of recyclable items include plastic bottles, egg cartons, old prescription bottles (labels removed), magazines, newspapers, etc. The department asks citizens to refrain from donating tin cans due to safety.

Items can be dropped off at the Parks and Recreation Department located inside the Owens Multipurpose Center, 1405 SW 11th Street, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday before April 22. More information about the Earth Day crafts event will be available closer to time.

For questions, contact the City of Lawton’s Parks and Recreation Department at 580-581-3400.
