Recycling Services to begin in Lawton

Lawton City Council approved a recycling services agreement with Recyclops at the June 22 City Council meeting, which makes the collecting, hauling and recycling of certain materials now available to citizens.

A basic subscription to the service from Recyclops begins at $12 per month. Materials accepted include metals and bi-metals, plastics, corrugated cardboard and paperboard, newspapers, magazine, catalogs, books and more. To sign up or learn more, residents may visit

Recyclops operates nationwide as "a technology driven startup that innovates solutions for sustainability, starting with recycling."

Currently, there are approximately 85 residents pre-enrolled for the program in Lawton. To officially begin operations, Recyclops requires 100 sign-ups.
