Recycling Services to begin in Lawton

Published 6/29/21
Lawton City Council approved a recycling services agreement with Recyclops at the June 22 City Council meeting, which makes the collecting, hauling and recycling of certain materials now available to citizens.
A basic subscription to the service from Recyclops begins at $12 per month. Materials accepted include metals and bi-metals, plastics, corrugated cardboard and paperboard, newspapers, magazine, catalogs, books and more. To sign up or learn more, residents may visit https://recyclops.com/locations/.
Recyclops operates nationwide as "a technology driven startup that innovates solutions for sustainability, starting with recycling."
Currently, there are approximately 85 residents pre-enrolled for the program in Lawton. To officially begin operations, Recyclops requires 100 sign-ups. Once signed up, residents will receive further instruction from Recyclops about how the collection works and what day is designated for collection. Access FAQs on the program at https://recyclops.com/help/faq/.
*** UPDATE 7/19/21: More than 100 residents have signed up for the program and operations are set to begin for the Lawton community in the very near future. Interested citizens can still enroll at anytime through https://recyclops.com/locations/ ***
