Thanksgiving 2023 Closures

City of Lawton offices will be closed on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 23) and the following day (Friday, Nov. 24). This two-day closure includes the Lawton Public Library which will close at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22. The Library will reopen on Saturday, Nov. 25.

Cart collection for Area 3 will take place on Wednesday. Area 4 cart collection will take place Friday. Area 4 bulk collection will begin Wednesday, and continue Friday. The Lawton Landfill will be closed Thanksgiving Day, and resume normal operations Friday and Saturday.

Essential services, such as those provided by the Lawton Police Department and Lawton Fire Department, will remain available as always.

Regular business hours and operations for all City of Lawton facilities will resume Monday, Nov. 27.
