9 June 2020

An upgraded audio/video system, as part of the City of Lawton's Digital Transformation, will enhance the digital viewing experience of City Council meetings online for citizens beginning June 9, 2020.

The installation was completed by Coast Audio Video and includes higher quality conference/meeting microphones, upgraded voting system equipment, audio control systems, new cable and mounting systems. These additions are coupled with a migration to Granicus Encode streaming, which will allow the City to digitally broadcast meetings from a hosted, customized platform and improve overall visual and audio capabilities.

Granicus and given digital upgrades were approved to be funded in November 2019 by Lawton City Council. Granicus is a computer software company that specializes in cloud computing, streaming media, webcasting, government transparency and communications. It is currently utilized by 4,500 government agencies around the world.
