SUBJECT: Open Records Act - Release of Draft Minutes

 

PURPOSE: To establish policy with regard to release of Draft Minutes

 

BACKGROUND: The Open Records Act provides that the Council has discretion regarding granting or denying access to certain records.

 

POLICY/

PROCEDURE: Both draft and approved minutes of meetings are open and available for public inspection and copying. Minutes which have not been approved by vote will be marked as "Draft-Not-Yet Approved". Certified copies of draft minutes will not be provided. Minutes of executive sessions are confidential and not open to the public.
