Our Purpose

There are three accident review boards catering to each section of employees: City of Lawton general employees, City of Lawton Fire Department employees and City of Lawton Police Department employees. Read more about them below.

General Employees Driver Improvement Program Board: Comprised of five members and meets the first Tuesday of every month at 1:30 p.m. at City Hall. Members include Rusty Wright, chairman; Candy Brown, Dennis Bothell, Rusty Whisenhunt and Lyna Neal. The board has been formed in compliance with Administrative Policy 3-12, which exists to reduce injury exposure for City employees and the public and to minimize the loss of City resources due to employee involvement in preventable vehicle accidents.

Lawton Fire Department Improvement Program Board: Comprised of seven members and meets the first Tuesday of every month at 9 a.m. at City Hall. Members include Raanon Adams, chairman; Alex Hadley, Rob Crews, Matt McKinney, Mark Murphy, Candy Brown and Dennis Bothell. This board has been formed in compliance with Administrative Policy 2-12 and exists to reduce injury exposure for City employees and the public, and to minimize the loss of City resources due to employee involvement in preventable accidents.

Police Department Vehicle Accident Review Board: Comprised of six members, to include Chairman Alvin Winham, John Roloff, Candy Brown and Dennis Bothell. The board meets monthly, though time and location are subject to change. The board has been formed in compliance with General Order 11-5, 470 and Policy 3.53 in order to reduce injury exposure for Police Department employees and the public and to minimize the loss of City resources due to officers being invovled in preventable vehicle collisions/incidents.
